Nissan Tyre Sales & Fitting

YES, we sell and fit tyres - and we are competitive. Give us a call and put us to the test

The legal minimum tread depth on each tyre is 1.6mm but it is recommended that you change your tyres when the tread depth reaches 3mm or 78% worn.
It is estimated that 90% of all vehicles on the road have incorrect tyre pressures that adversely affect braking and steering, particularly when cornering. Sudden failure of under-inflated tyres contributes to 6% of fatal accidents. Incorrect tyre pressures can also reduce your cars fuel economy and increase environmental pollution. Also, don't forget your spare tyre: if it's not regularly checked it may become illegal or under-inflated. Insurance claims could be void if your tyres are below the legal limit.

Not only safety comes at a price. Did you know that you could be fined up to £2500 and receive 3 penalty points for each illegal tyre.

What should you do?
All tyres, including the spare, should be checked once a week when they are cold. Look for damage and wear and check the pressure. Because modern cars go longer between services, it's vital to regularly check your tread depth readings. Remember: as your tread depth decreases, your stopping distance in wet weather will increase.
