It is recommended that a full air conditioning service is carried out at least every two years, especially as over time your air conditioning systems could lose up to 50% of its efficiency, this in turn placing the system under added load and reducing fuel consumption.

The Air Condition service is often overlooked as the Air-con is often predominantly used to cool down the temperature in the summer months. However, if not serviced and checked regularly the moisture created by the system can become mouldy and becomes the ideal breading ground for fungus and bacteria build up. This causes the 'stale' smells in your car and can aggravate any pre-existing medical conditions such as allergies and asthma.

Your air conditioning system can be treated to destroy the bacteria growth and leave your car smelling fresh again.

A cars air-con also filters pollen from the air, so as part of our service we check the condition of the filters to ensure you remain protected from hay fever. If the filter(s) appear to be needing replaced, this can be done whilst in our care (charges may vary - please check with our service department for details).

Just as your engine requires fresh oil regularly to avoid wear and tear on its components, the same is true for the gas in your air conditioning system.
